iThoughts - What is Home?

This term we are looking at the topic 'How Important is My Home?'

It is a topic that will look at the country we live in, our place in the world, what happens when people are displaced from their home and what the concept of 'home' really means to us.

We have been reading The DCesperate Journey by Kathleen Fidler. The book tells the story of a family who have been ejected from the family croft at the time of the Highland Clearances in the early 19th century.

As we started the topic the class each considered what the word home actually meant to them.
