Neets Walks the Wall

Today in language we are working on a real life project. We are helping Anita Lundie, one of the friends of the school to make leaflets for her great adventure!

Anita is walking 100km of The Great Wall of China! She is very excited about it and is getting ready for some very hard training.
Over the past year Anita has been on the weight watchers diet and has lost a remarkable ten stone! This time last year she wouldn't have dreamed of doing anything so ambitious but now she is up for the challenge.

She is walking the wall for the Alzheimers Society. Anita is head of the Alzheimers floor in Kincaid House in Greenock and has worked with Alzheimers sufferers for the last ten years. She loves her job. She saw the article in the weight watchers magazine and she says when she saw it was for the Alzheimers Society her heart melted and she just had to do it.

Anita needs £3,000 in sponsors for the 25th of February and it would be a great help if any of you could sponsor her.

In P6/7 we are designing leaflets for her and we look forward to giving them to her on Thursday.
