Ideal Homes Project

Between now and Easter we are looking at the topic: 'How Important is My Home?' It is a subject which has taken in philosophy, health and well-being and a look at the Highland Clearances in the novel 'The Desperate Journey'!

As the topic nears its conclusion we are beginning a new personal project at home which will culminate in a fantastic exhibition at the school.

Each member of the class must design and build a model of their ideal home. The home must be built using ideas we have talked about in the topic. It should be built at home, not be too big to bring into school - roughly the size of a big shoe box, and be handed in to school the week before the Easter Holiday.

Each pupil must accompany their model with a single A4 sheet, detailing the thinking behind each room in their house.

We will have a exhibition for parents, pupils and staff, in school on Thursday 28th April when each child will be available to answer questions on their designs and a panel of judges will select the winning entry.

This is just advance warning!!
